Boomer, Sooner! Norman, Oklahoma is home to the University of Oklahoma Sooners—folks here practically bleed crimson and cream. As the third largest city in the state of Oklahoma, Norman is home to more than 105,000 residents and is located in central Oklahoma just 20 miles south of downtown Oklahoma City and the Will Rogers World Airport.Norman was founded during the Land Run of 1889 and is as rich in history as it is in football tradition.
